DOSS are a bold electronic post-punk duo from Glasgow, made up of Sorley Mackay (vocals/guitar) and Chilton Fawcett (drums).
What began in a modest bedroom studio has quickly grown into a formidable live act, known for their uncompromising sound and razor-sharp wordplay. With a strong sense of place and identity, Sorley’s lyrics are delivered in his Glaswegian accent, backed by pounding rhythms, distorted basslines, and fractured electronics, a sound described by BBC’s Vic Galloway as a “musical wrecking-ball.”Lyrically, DOSS confront themes like gentrification, addiction, precarious work, and generational trauma, all through the lens of working-class Scottish life. It’s this blend of urgency, cultural specificity, and conviction that’s helped DOSS stand out, especially in a scene often dominated by surface-level aesthetic.

Despite being a relatively new band, DOSS have already made serious inroads, supporting the likes of billy woods, Sinead O’Brien, Fat Dog and DEADLETTER, while consistently selling out hometown headline shows. Following a breakout 2024 that included airplay on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio 1, and a live session with BBC Scotland, the band completed their first two-week US tour, followed by a run of headline dates across the EU. Still operating entirely independently, Doss have built a growing cult following through electrifying live shows, relentless DIY touring, and a sound that’s as confrontational as it is cathartic.
