Plotting the steepling architectures of post-rock and film score against the melancholic sensitivities of Midwest Emo, for the pulsing-sprawling-questing life of a Long Distance Runner track, there literally are no words. Emotionally rich with the dramas of musical storytelling, their extended compositions are as urgent as they are tantalisingly undefined.

Formed in West London, and featuring members of Dead Dad’s Club and Mandrake Handshake, the band have become regulars on the capital’s grassroots live-circuit across the past 18 months off the back of their enchanting and immersive live spectacles.

Selling out a headline at The George Tavern for their 6th ever gig, they’ve hosted a month-long residency at Shoreditch’s Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes, performed showcases for Rough Trade and So Young Magazine, also sharing stages with ladylike,  Spanish Horses and Roscoe Roscoe. Long Distance Runner will tour the UK for the first time, opening for Oxford alt-rock heroes Swervedriver this autumn.
